1: What are the advantages + disadvantages of both sexual and asexual reproduction
Asexual:
Advantages-
It will make an easier time into surviving if they're in unstable environments, since they all stay in one place when asexually reproduced
Reproduction will become faster, therefore making it easier to colonize an area better and quicker, and it only needs one parent
When doing asexual reproduction, the steps are quicker and easier, so less can go wrong when giving birth, as less natural resources are needed for he organism
A scientific (and sick) asexual reproduction of a cell
Disadvantages-
If birth-organism holds a disease or bad-quality, it would be directly passed down to the asexually reproduced baby
Chances of evolution from the asexually reproduced organism to help the species survive better is at a point of 0
For plants, if all are asexually reproduced into one colony, there will be a struggle for light, soil, and water, making them less healthy
Sexual:
Advantages-
It's one of the main processes of evolutions for a species' survival
Even new species can probably be born when sexually reproduced
Each newborn sexually-produced baby has its own character, so it won't hold the sickness the birth mother had, unless it's AIDS
A sperm that's about to meet with an egg
Disadvantages-
The process into getting gestation for a newborn baby is slower, as well as not guaranteed to occur, as well as needing a huge piece of the environment
Only half of the amount of Earth's population can reproduce sexually
To reproduce sexually two mates must come together in order to do that, and believe it or not, that would take some work
